Teacher Appreciation Week This week, we proudly celebrate our dedicated teachers for the incredible work they do each and every day to support and inspire our students. Their year-round commitment, passion, and perseverance make a lasting impact on our school community, and this week is our opportunity to show our heartfelt appreciation. Today, we treated our teachers to “Room Service” — a special breakfast delivered right to their classrooms as a token of our gratitude. We extend a sincere thank you to our PTO for partnering with the Somerville Elementary and Intermediate administration to make Teacher Appreciation Week memorable and meaningful.

We are preparing to administer the i-Ready Diagnostic to Kindergarten through 7th-grade students.

Somerville community, the bond proposition passed with 317 votes (For) and 281 (Against) or 53.01% (For) and 46.99% (Against). One of our primary goals during this bond election was to ensure that every voter had the information needed to make an informed decision. The strong turnout during early voting and on Election Day shows that our community cares deeply about the future of Somerville ISD. Throughout this process, we remained committed to transparency and accessibility, working hard to earn the trust of our community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped share that message—your dedication to this process truly made a difference. Reminder: Pancake Supper Tonight for STAAR Math Students (Grades 3–7) Please remember to join us for the pancake supper this evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, in support of our students in grades 3–7 who will be taking the STAAR Math assessment. This is a great opportunity for them to enjoy a hearty meal and then head home to rest and prepare for tomorrow's exam.
