Barrett Howe won the district golf meet yesterday, shooting an 84. He will compete in the Regional meet later this month on Corpus Christi. Way to go, Yegua Golfer!

The following students passed the Food Manager Exam and have earned their Food Manager Certificate. Charles Morgan, Jena Foster, Arath Carrillo, Stephon Turner, Kalyjiah Simons, Destiny Vela, Keira Moore, BraKayla Minor, Blair Youngblood, Emily Strange, Evelyn Lambert, Jessica Ramirez The food manager certificate will allow students a competitive edge in the food service industry. At least one person per shift in the food service industry must have their food manager certification in Texas.

The Culinary and Advanced Culinary Arts block classes learned how to make homemade pasta from scratch. They even made homemade Alfredo Sauce. WOW, that looks YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!

Students in the Restaurant Management class are practicing how to pipe frosting. They will create their personalized cupcake style for a class cupcake battle. Way to Go Culinary Yeguas!!!!!!!!!

Today our little Yegua Chefs whipped up some Green Eggs and Ham and graphed their responses about the taste for letter G!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! Jalynn Urbanosky received a belt buckle from Fresh Country for being the highest-selling individual during our annual meat and fruit sale. This is her 5th year to receive this award. Thanks to all who support Somerville FFA.

Our little superhero Yegua's are looking SUPER! The Pre-K students are saving the day learning about the letter S! Superheroes have to know how to read and write too! Looks like a splendiferous lesson taught by a superb teacher, Mrs. Webb!!!

You need to come out to the Black History Gallery Walk at the Elementary Cafeteria TODAY: 10:40 AM TO 12:15 PM! All of our students contributed to the artwork and information of the History we celebrate this month. Our Yeguas, big and small, did a fabulous job!
