The Jr High football game against Jewett Leon for tomorrow (Thursday 9/10) has been cancelled. Our Jr High team will play next Thursday September 17th here in Somerville at The Rock against Granger!

Friday's Varsity Football Game
Game tickets for parents of all football players can be purchased at the HS starting Wed. Sept. 9th, for $4 each. For all other spectators, tickets will be sold starting on Thurs., Sept. 10th and must be purchase at the HS before 2 p.m. Friday. There are only 115 tickets for the game and will be sold pre-game only. You will not be able to purchase a ticket at the gate. Band will not be traveling to Leon this week for the game.

YEGUA 6th GRADE FOOTBALL
Practice Starts: Tuesday - September 8, 2020
Time: Be there at 6:45 am to get equipment and be on the field at 7am. 6th grade will practice from 7 - 7:35 am and will be released to go to the first period of school. We will practice every day unless told otherwise in advance.
What to bring: Make sure you bring a completed physical. You CANNOT practice without it. We will provide all equipment except for cleats. You will be allowed to bring your own water bottle if needed.
Where: The Jr high locker room is located in the back beside the track!
Numbers - Right now we believe we can accommodate the athletes that have signed up, but if needed, we may possibly have to do a tryout.
We are very excited to have the opportunity to allow 6th graders to participate in football! Have a great 3 day weekend, and see you TUESDAY!

Right now due to circumstances and with everything going on, we have 7 or 8 openings for 6th grade students to play Jr High football! If we have more than 8 wanting to play, we will have to create a tryout for them. Intermediate parents of online students: There are some materials that need to be picked up that go along with the online lessons. These are available to pick up Monday morning. Attention Volleyball Parents and Fans: The volleyball game this afternoon will be in Granger ISD and they will not be allowing visitor fans to attend their VB game this afternoon. This is not an in district game.
Attention Varsity Football players. Our game has been cancelled with Hull Daisetta due to the hurricane, but we have picked up Cushing High School and will still play Friday at 7pm at The Rock! Let’s go Yeguas!
Attention Intermediate parents! We are excited for the first day of school on Monday! Please send your child with a water bottle if you have one, and a mask. We do have masks if they need one. Students (no parents) will be allowed to enter the building at 7:15 and get their breakfast before heading to their first class. We will have schedules for them and you can also access this information on parent portal. The school day begins at 7:45 and ends at 3:35. A reminder that NO CELL PHONES are allowed on campus at all this year.
Virtual students need to log in to their Chromebook using the provided email and password. This information is on the label placed inside of the Chromebook next to the keyboard. Students need to check their email for invites to their teacher’s Google classrooms. Students need to complete their assignments each day before midnight in order to be counted present. If you have problems, please call the school at 979-596-1502 or email the principal at lbaugus@somervilleisd.org. We will work through problems with you as quickly as we can.
