Congratulations going out to Brandyn Carter on being selected to play in the Texas Academics All-Star Game!!! Yegua Athletics couldn't be more proud of you! Thank you for continuing to represent us well!! Only Texas High School Seniors that excel both on and off the court are selected for this game. The game will be played on April 1st at Prairie View A&M at 3 o'clock. Adult tickets are $10 each and Student tickets are $5 each.

Mrs. Gonzales' Class is learning the letter G! They read Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. It looks like some of our little yeguas really like to eat green eggs and ham!

Jalynn Urbanosky received a belt buckle from Fresh Country Fundraising for being the highest seller in this year's FFA fundraiser. Thanks to all who supported the FFA this year and in past years.

Today's Koppers Relays have been moved up! The scratch meeting is now at 1:30p. We will begin the meet within an hour of the scratch meeting. We will only be doing the running and throwing events due to the inclement weather in this evenings forecast. See y'all soon! #ForTheTribe

Mrs. Webb's Pre-K class is learning the letter S/s this week, and today is Superhero Day! Our superheroes made their own capes and we had a special superhero reader! We have awesome Yegua Superheroes at SISD!!!

The Junior High softball team got a 7-4 win over Iola. Way to go Lady Yeguas!

Congratulations to the Lady Yeguas on their first district game of the season with a win over Iola 18-7!

A Rare Disease is any disease, disorder, illness, or condition affecting fewer than 200,000 people in the United States is considered to be rare. There are approximately 7,000 rare diseases. Most rare diseases are genetic. Chances are you know someone who might have a rare disease. Many different types of cancer fall under the umbrella of "rare diseases", including many pediatric cancers. 72% of the diseases are genetic and almost 1 out of 5 cancers is rare. Rare Disease Day is the globally-coordinated movement on rare diseases, working towards equity in social opportunity, healthcare, and access to diagnosis and therapies for people living with a rare disease. Rare Disease Day is observed every year on 28 February (or 29 in leap years)—the rarest day of the year. People are asked to wear stripes or bright bold colors. Those with a rare disease are called zebras in the medical field, many also consider themselves to be unicorns.
