Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we prepare for STAAR testing tomorrow, we want to thank you for your continued support in helping your child feel confident and ready to do their best.
A good night of preparation can make a big difference! Here are a few simple ways you can support your child at home this evening:
- Ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep so they are well-rested and focused.
- Provide a healthy dinner and breakfast to help fuel their brain for the day.
- Encourage a positive mindset—remind them to take their time, read carefully, and do their best.
- Help them arrive at school on time so they can start the day calm and prepared.
To ensure a proper and distraction-free testing environment, our campus will be closed to visitors tomorrow.
We will be creating a fun and encouraging environment at school to celebrate our students and help them feel confident as they begin testing. Your support at home truly makes a difference.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure a successful testing experience for all students!
Sincerely,
Amber Idlebird
Principal

Somerville ISD has been selected to participate in the TEA Parent Involvement Survey.
Beginning today, parents of students receiving special education services will be contacted via text and/or email to provide feedback to the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
This survey will be sent to parents from Gibson Consulting, and this feedback helps to support and guide improvements to our special education services.
Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Our APs provide outstanding support to our campus administrators, staff, and students. Their dedication helps everyone in our district in countless ways throughout the year.
Please join us in thanking our incredible assistant principals for the difference they make each and every day! 🧡🖤 #APWeek #ThankYouAPs
