Attention Yegua families: Due to a gas leak behind the high school, both of our campuses are currently holding students in place. High school students have been relocated to the Yegua Center.
Traffic on 8th Street is currently closed as we continue monitoring the situation. We will keep you updated as soon as we collect further information.

The company behind the "EZ A2B" bus tracking app is shifting its operations to a new app called "EZ Arrival". It has a similar layout to EZ A2B and includes the same tracking features as before (plus some new ones).
Fortunately, you will *not* need to create a new account if you had an existing one. Simply enter your previous EZ A2B login information to gain access. If you have any questions or issues with your account, please email Ben Peck at bpeck@somervilleisd.org.
To ensure safety and reduce hassle, please abide by the following policies during student drop-off and pick-up:
-Refrain from curbside parking on 8th Street and Avenue L. It's important to keep our traffic lines flowing and prevent drivers from swerving around parked vehicles.
-The parking lot located behind the football field is reserved for students. Extra cars camped out in this lot blocks students attempting to arrive and depart from school.
-Please keep the bus circle area clear, next to the site of the old junior high. With 9th Street closed due to bond construction, this area is serving our high school students using bus transportation.

As renovations continue at our high school gym, please follow this updated traffic flow for home volleyball and basketball games this fall.
We are asking fans to utilize the rear entrance to the gym, parking on the west side of the American Legion building. Handicap parking is available at the elementary cafeteria parking lot and behind the American Legion building. The rear entrance is also handicap-accessible.
Please keep the area east of the American Legion driveway free for visiting team buses 🚌 Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

We had such an amazing first day back at Somerville Elementary/Intermediate! 🎉 It was wonderful to see all of our students back on campus.

🍳 Breakfast will be served from 7:15–7:35 AM.
🚗 We will follow our normal drop-off procedures, so parents and guardians will not be permitted to walk their child into the building.

Before every home football game, we will be hosting tailgate fundraising dinners to support one of our high school's student groups. Our season opener will benefit the senior class.
Each $15 dinner plate (food provided by Four Tines) will include:
