SECONDARY SCHOOL PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION The SSPTO works together with school staff and parents to provide opportunities for students to qualify for scholarships, and to build collaboration between SHS staff, parents, and students in an effort to help our students be successful. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of the Month at 5:30 p.m. in the Band Hall. We help every year in the football concession stand alongside the Band Booster Club. The concession stand is an opportunity for SSPTO to raise needed funds to support our efforts. While it is not the only fundraiser we implement throughout the year, it is the most labor intensive and we cannot achieve it without you! We have five HS varsity games at home and five JH games at home. I am providing the dates of those games below in hopes that we have some volunteers to sign up. As we commemorate the 20 year anniversary of September 11 (Patriot Day), we are asking all of our Yegua fans to wear red, white, and blue to the volleyball and football games this Friday, September 10. Let's pack the stands for both home games.

Residents in Somerville may experience some power outages with Entergy tomorrow but the school district will not be affected by these planned power outages. Parents: If your student requires any medication during the school day, a doctor's order for the current school year must be on file with the district nurse.  This includes oral medications, inhalers, nebulizers, emergency medications and meds taken "as needed". Somerville vs SMCA FOOTBALL Scrimmage: Time: Scrimmage starts at 6:30pm Location: We will play at St. Michael’s Catholic Academy at the address: 3000 Barton Creek Blvd. Austin, TX 78735 Players: A reminder for all football players need to arrive at the HS GYM by 2:30pm so we can leave by 3pm.
