The Somerville ISD Child Nutrition Department strives to serve healthy, whole grain, low sodium foods the students love!
In order to serve our students better, we offer FREE Breakfast in the cafeteria to ALL students. Making sure students start the day off right with a nutritious breakfast.
All students are offered at least 5 meal components each day at lunch (meat/meat alternative, grain (bread or pasta), 2 vegetables, fruit, and milk). Students can take all the items, or pick and choose at least 3 items which must include a fruit or vegetable to be considered a complete meal. Students with allergies should contact the district nurse and the cafeteria director for accommodations.
All students at Somerville ISD receive a FREE breakfast every school day. Students will be charged $3.20 for a regular paid lunch and $.40 for reduced-price lunches.
Households interested in the meal program must apply for the program every school year. New applications must be received within the first month of school. If a new application is not received or if your application is not approved the student will be charged in full for their lunch.
Paper copies will be available at the High School or Elementary front offices. If you have any questions please contact Renee Mantey at 979-596-1502.
